Brookfield, Massachusetts: E. Merriam & Co., 1804. Hardcover. Good. 5 1/4 x 5 3/4. Missing the first pages; begins with XI of Preface, which is dated Aug. 16, 1777 Edingburgh (their spelling); then proceeds to "The Key (pages 13-16) The dictionary (Page 17-479) followed byThe Appendix, which is THE SECOND BROOKFIELD EDITION from Brookfield, Massachusetts, dated October1804 and printed by E. Merriam & Co. Thee next page is a Preface followed by "The Proper Names of Persons and Places in the Old and New Testaments. This goes to page 512 which also begins The Names of the Principal CITIES, TOWNS, RIVERS, MOPUNTAINS etc in the known World. The following pages are missing which would have contained The Ancient Philosophers, Patriots, Statesmen Etc. Full leather which has some scuffed areas along the edges. Unmarked except for about four words on page 17 in pencil. There are no pastedown papers. The text pages vary in the amount of general darkening. GOOD++
