About This Item
6 vols. 10 x 6 ½. Illustrated. ½ morocco and cloth. Some scuffing and wear to spines and extremities. A few labels chipped, and some of volume one label is missing. Front joint of volume II partially split, and occasional light foxing. This set contains 71 (of 72) chromolithographs. Lacks plate that should face page 498 in Vol. IV. This work also contains 1600 other illustrations. Color plates are nice and bright, and while they are not as dramatic as more commercial type chromolithographs, they are not without charm.
