London: Smith Elder & Co, 1863. First edition thus. leather_bound. Very Good. Very clean text block - some foxing. Red leather three quarter leather and marbled paper to front and endpapers. Gilt lettering to spine with raised spines. 19 x 13 cm., black and white frontispiece. Front hinge broken Splits to top and bottom of spine. Has a General Assembly library NZ monogramme to front cover withdrawn plate inside on FEPs.
