Chicago, IL: Published by the Author / R. R. Donnelley & Sons, 1943. 4th Edition . Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Anita Willets-Burnham's Family. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, inscribed (several times) and signed by the author along with a few doodles. The first part of the inscription is a generic sentences she puts on nearly all the signed copies, the second part is an inscription to Wendell Carrothers in which she initials. The third part includes a drawing of three flowers with a little note "mistakes and blots make lovely for get me knots, Ha! Ha!". Apparently, her pen made a few drops on the front end page, so she turned them into flowers. The exterior the book is floured cloth with the paper label on front. Cloth is worn and spotted, particularly on the spine, which is also fated. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No other handwriting than that from the author, no bookplates, no library markings. The frontispiece his hand painted by one of the illustrators (presumably her daughter).
