Clean and bright, slight edgewear to cover. Inside of cover front and back has a scuff mark. Pages of coated paper, clean, clear, bright, lavishly illustrated. Cover with illustration of Rome as depicted in the time of the Caesars, covering the entire cover, front and back. Orange lettering. Heavy plastic cover over the soft cover. Reproductions, photographs, photolithography throughout the book, in full color and some in monochrome. Very striking. The author reconstructs the Rome of the Caesars, imagining how its great historical events took place and what its private and public life were like, heavily relying on archeological ruins. The reader will not only be treated to the architectural delights of Rome but will explore with the author the historical significance of such magnificence. 128 pages. 8.25 x 10.75 inches.
