Gilt-decorated cloth; top edges gilt, others uncut; spine a little darkened; covers slightly rubbed, marked and flecked; front inner hinge slightly split but sound; some leaves unopened; a very good copy. With the bookplate of Sir Richard Baker (1841-1911). 'Barrister, pastoralist and politician ... [Baker was] the first South Australian-born member of the colonial legislature ... [and] one of the founding fathers of Federation' (ADBonline).
