[7.875x5.375in] [8], 17-318 pp., [10] publisher advertisements, 16 plates of 24 black and white images including frontispiece and with captions, three illustrations in text, map in text, index; Blue-gray pictorial cloth covers with ink designs, white and red outline lettering, illustration on front, gilt illustration of helmeted warrior on spine, all edges trimmed; Minor shelf wear to edges and corners, light soiling of covers and darker spine, ink stamped numbers on front end paper. Stories of exploration and hunting in the Arctic, Amazon, Africa and Kamschatka in the early 1900's. Norman Davidson was a British travel writer. He published in 1921 a larger version of this book titled "Modern Exploration, Sport and Travel" with additional illustrations and maps.
