Thames & Hudson,. Hardback. Text by Mortimer Wheeler and illustrated with 59 hand-mounted colour photographic plates by Roger Wood. A substantial volume on the archaeology of Roman Africa including Sudan, Egypt, Cyrenaica, Triplolitania, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco. 360 by 290mm (14¼ by 11½ inches). Illustrated endpapers. Blue cloth with gilt titles to spine and gilt Thames and Hudson device to the front is clean and the binding is sound. Bumped to one corner. Some uneven age spotting to endpapers. Colour dust jacket is bright and generally clean but has some slight peeling of the surface laminate near the spine. Very good copy in good dust jacket . Hardback. 1966.
