All three hard covers black cloth with gilt and white design on spine (roughly) 8" by 5 1/2" (inches), 222, 208,205 pages, all books are in Very Good condition at least. with some mild toning, minor edge wear & "Sober as a Judge" has ink name on ffep. Dust jackets are in Very Good condition only, with chipping to edges & some clear tape to revers on "Friends at Court" over closed tears on spine, Now all three dust jackets are in Mylar, "Roger Thursby, aged twenty-four, is called to the bar. He is young, inexperienced & his love life is complicated. He blunders his way through a succession of comic adventures including his calamitous debut at the bar. His career takes an upward turn when he is chosen to defend the caddish Alfred Greenat the Old Bailey. In this first Roger Thursby novel Henry Cecil satires the legal profession with his usual wit & insight." "Roger Thursby, the hero of Brothers in Law and Friends at Court, continues his career as a High Court judge.
