Illustrated with eight colour plates and fifty additional photographs and diagrams. Collated complete. A guide to rock gardens with details of how to construct them, selecting bulbs, adding ornamental shrubs, hardy ferns, ornamental grasses, the wall garden, and much more. Written by Alexander Edwards, an English gardener, head of the rock garden at Kew. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with age toning to the endpapers. Printer's label to the front pastedown. Very Good
