Three octavo volumes (24cm), uniformly bound in brick red cloth, each with original pictorial dust jacket; [xvi],468pp. Former owner's name neatly inked to front free endpaper of all three volumes. Minimal rubbing and wear; a uniformly Near Fine set. All three jackets are unclipped, with occasional short tears and attendant creases, Very Good.
The entirety of Thompson's magisterial biography of Frost, still one of the standard references on the poet's life and work. The final volume was completed by R.H. Winnick following Thompson's death in 1973.
