Dustjacket very good minus. Sunning to spine and extremities. Light foxing. Scuffed jacket with a bit of wear at spinecaps. With fourteen black and white plates. 158 pp with appendix and index. The author explores medieval French and English romances in their relation to the literary aesthetic of that vanished age as well as to the evolution of narrative.
