World landmark books [W-47], Young Readers of America Selection Light green cloth boards with red titling, bottom front corner bumped and light bumps along upper edge. Interior is clean, and spine is sound, if slightly cocked. Bookplate to front pastedown. Circular blindstamp to bottom, rear board, (probably the Young Readers of America book club mark). Dustjacket chipped at edges, pierced along front hinge 3 times, and with a green circular 1-in. sticker applied to spine with adhesive tape in an insufficient attempt to mend closed tears to DJ. BOOK INFO: A vivid, authentic account of one of the most shocking chapters of world history. Shirer was radio's foremost interpreter of Germany during the Third Reich. He met Hitler and listened to his speeches; most of this book stems from these first-hand encounters, as well as from additional to extensive research into the war documents.
