About This Item
San Francisco: North Point Press, 1990. Paperback. 8vo. Stiff glossy pictorial wrappers. 67pp. Near fine. Faint rubbing only to wrapper, else tight and bright. First of this softbound edition (first thus). On the title page, the poet inscribes and signs it in black ink to Iowa poet Bill Pauly (1942-2021): "For Bill / Gary Snyder / 25.iv.95 Des Moines." "Riprap" was Snyder's first book (published 1959), not published together with "Cold Mountain Poems" until later.
