Green ribbed cloth with stamped spine titles and decoration in gilt, front with gilt stamped titles and decoration in gilt, light blue and black. 7.75 inches tall; xv, 23-190 [191]; Illustrated with life pictures by William B. Dyer.
No Flaws or Blemishes but minimal shelf handling with only a hint of a rub on the lower front corner and the bottom of the spine. A Handsome collectible book.
BAL, 16773. 'He was the first and foremost distinctively American poet, and at the time of this death he was the greatest American. His glory is permanent. It has made the name Hoosier a proud one and will be the great and lasting inspiration of generations of Hoosiers yet to be born.' [Booth Tarkington, quoted in Indiana Daily Times, July 24, 1916].
