Illustrated by Cisneros thoughout with about 100 handsome drawings, several printed in beautiful full color. According to the author's Foreword, this is a "greatly improved and extended version" of his 1971 book, Riders of the Border. It is a study of horsemanship in Mexico and the southwestern United States. The riders are described and featured in a full-page drawing on the facing pages. Includes a 40 page biography of Cisneros and appreciation of his art by John O. West. Designed in association with Carl Hertzog. Winner of a Western Heritage Award from the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. Bound in the original red cloth, lettered in bright gold on the spine, and with a gilt-stamped spur on the front cover. Complete with dust jacket. Oversize Hardcover. 7.25" wide by 11.25" tall.
