Book is clean, straight and tight with no signs of wear. Cloth and pages clean, no smudges or marks. Cover lettering bright and sharp. Minor bump curl to tips of fr. cover. Minute rubbing spot to lower tip. 1872. HUNT, Richard Morris. PHOTOGRAPH OF STURGIS HOUSES. Original photograph, 15 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches, of buildings designed by the dean of American architecture, Richard Morris Hunt (1827-1895). The photograph shows the William Osborne and Jonathan Sturgis houses, 32-34 Park Avenue, south of 36th Street, (demolished), New York City, 1869-70. Unframed, in mat. Very good condition.

New York: Horizon Press, 1959. Hardcover. Introduction by Harold Rosenberg. Folio. Black cloth with silver stamping, pictorial dust jacket. (Ca. 150pp). Numerous illustrations. Very good/good plus. Jacket edgeworn and a bit rubbed, with several archivally closed (on verso) edge tears and one wide chip running along the bottom edge of the front panel (triangular, 8½" wide X 1¼" at left side narrowing to ¼" at right side) -- fairly attractive overall despite obvious flaws. A tight, nice first edition of this scarce first photo collection by the reknowned New York and Chicago photographer (1903-91), who pioneered abstract expressionism in photography. Though not so noted, from the collection of noted Midwest photographer Archie Lieberman (1926-2008), author of "Farm Boy." A handsome copy of this desireable title.

Pleasant Hill, MO: Little & Sprague No Date, circa 1869, what is now called the Hannibal Bridge saw construction begin in 1867 and finish in 1869. Titled "Kansas City Railroad and Carriage Bridge" under photo, "Little & Sprague, Pleasant Hill, MO" right margin, in fine print under left side of photo "Total Length 1,395 Feet" and :"PACAN & WINANS (illegible)" under right side of photo. Verso appears to have a map in faint pencil of the area of the bridge. Very Good, dark spot to margin left edge. . Cartes-de-Visite . Very Good. 2 1/2" x 4".
