His final and fatal adventure was to sail a Chinese junk across the Pacific Ocean from Hong Kong to the Golden Gate International Exposition in San Francisco. 228 x 150mm., pp. frontis, xi, 433, b/w plates. Orig. red cloth covered boards in very good condition. Hard cover without dust jacket. Contents, front & back free endpapers ""browned"", no inscriptions, binding excellent. VG+
