About This Item

New York: Pocket Books, 1968. First Pocket Books Edition . Mass Market. Very Good. Hershfield, Leo. 264 Pages. Pocket Books # 75313. Tight book with red page edges and slight spine cock. There is very slight age-tanning at the top inside of the book covers. No other defects noted. Remember Rhubarb the richest cat in the world? Rhubarb had everything a cat could possibly want-including control of a vast industrial empire and management of his own big league baseball team. But love of pretty pussycats was Rhubarb's downfall. He died one tragic night in the South Pacific, in hot pursuit of his latest favorite feline. The world mourned Rhubarb's untimely death. But what the world didn't know, and what even Rhubarb didn't know, was that before his sad demise, the celebrated cat had enjoyed a night on the town in Old San Juan, the result of which was an offspring. In this bookTiger, the spitting image of his inimitable father, emerges- anxious for his just inheritance. And therein lies this tale-a hilarious frolic in the best H. Allen Smith tradition.
