Synopsis

Nicholas R. Bell is curator of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. He is a former Lois F. McNeil Fellow at the Winterthur Museum and graduate of the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture at the University of Delaware. Kenneth R. Trapp was curator-in-charge of the Renwick Gallery from 1995–2003. Before his tenure at the Smithsonian, Trapp was curator of decorative arts at the Oakland Museum of California.
