About This Item
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1912. Thirteen essays (including "The Yellow Peril") by the adventure novelist/socialist. Originally published in March 1910; this is a Very Good (minus) copy of the Second Printing (April, 1912). Rather an uncommon title in the London canon. Blue cloth binding; the cover is blindstamped with the title and "The Macmillan Standard Library;" gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; ix, 309 pages; with four pages of publisher adverts for London's oter works in the rear. Scuffed, spine rubbed at the margins; gutters are cracked but holding; water rings and a crease on the front cover. This is a reasonably sound copy, if not the most beautiful; Quercus suggests some minor repair work would be advisable Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Later Printing.. Hard Cover. Very Good Minus/No Jacket.
