First edition, first impression, of Dahl and Blake's reinterpretation of six classic fairy tales, comprising "Cinderella", "Jack and the Beanstalk", "Snow-White and the Seven Dwarfs", "Goldilocks and the Three Bears", "Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf", and "The Three Little Pigs". Octavo. Original pictorial boards, spine and front cover lettered in black and purple, buff endpapers. No jacket issued. Illustrated throughout by Quentin Blake. Spine slightly toned, minor surface scratches to covers, corner of front free endpaper neatly excised, minor mark to second illustration: a very good copy.
