About This Item

Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1980. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 1990 HBJ 1st Edition/First Printing, Translation of the 1961 Polish classic by Barbara Marszal and Frank Simpson. Noted as "A Helen and Kurt Wolff Book." The HB is in Fine condition and looks unread with no lean, markings, bumps and with black boards and a violet cloth spine. The DJ is intact with minor rubbing or minute loss at the upper and bottom folds. Overall a beautiful book from the author of "Solaris" and a great gift for the Sci-Fi collector. Note:1) a Polish audioplay was created in 2021 (see IMDB for details). 2) between 1973 to 1983, HBJ designated 1st Ed/1st Printing as "First Edition/BCDE" (ref: A&P Ahern)

He finds that the earth has changed beyond recognition, filled with human beings who have been medically neutralized. How does an astronaut join a civilization that shuns risk? Translated by Barbara Marszal and Frank Simpson. A Helen and Kurt Wolff Book
