About This Item

New York: E.P. Dutton, 1942. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 5 3/4 X 8 3/8 Inches. 230 PP. Stated "First Edition" on the copyright page. Original price of $2.50 intact on the front flap. Collection of letters to Sylvia Brockway from her cook in London at the outset of WWII. The letters concern the news of Brockway's father, American composer Howard Brockway as well as updates on the war and her home in London. Light toning to flaps. Light wear to DJ edges at spine and folds. A very attractive copy overall. (NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT).
