About This Item

Washington DC: Government Printing Office, 1901. First edition. Hardcover. Very good (or better). 3/4 leather volume, wear to edges and outer hinges of spine, light to moderate, bright gilt stamping to spine with raised bands, marbled paper covers with matching marbling to text block edges and end sheets. Well bound with both covers firmly attached. Former owner penciled initials on title page, else unmarked with very clean pages. 241 pages. Attractive copy, scans of book made.

This is an interesting and insightful volume on mainly European (plus Austalia and New Zealand) labor unions and working conditions, strikes, boycotts, contemporary situations, contemporary rules and laws discussed (circa 1900) with historical background.
