P. Iii, as above, contains an Order addressed to Lieut. -Gen. Oglethorpe and Mr. Velters Cornwall for the ecouragement of the Moravians to settle in America. The following 4 pp. , which seem to have been inserted, contain An Act for encouraging this settlement and defining the Moravian attitude toward taking oath and bearing arms. The colophon of this Act dates it London, 1749. Among the “Vouchers and Papers” are leters to and from Count Zinzendorf and General Oglethorpe. The “Report” deals with the numbers, character, and American colonization of the Moravians and their missions in the West Indies and other parts of the world. Beginning at p. 59 are the Augsburg Confession, gospel of the Synod of Bern, litany, etc. Small folio, mottled calf"RBH SDabin Folio B. M. 69731..Original binding mottled claf. Wear to extremities, some edgewear to first few leaves prior to title page. .
