In a previous report the Sanitary Commission recommended the use of quinine as a preventive of malarial disease. In this report the Commission presents supporting evidence for that recommendation "with the view of procuring its timely adoption and enforcement by the authorities in immediate charge of the health of the army." Front cover shows paper loss along the spine and is half separated from textblock. Also paper loss at corner of front cover.
