Dublin: Unknown, 1877. Sir Dominic Corrigan (1802-1880) was an Irish physician whose studies of the heart remain important today. Here is another aspect of his life: serving as the head of an important temperance organization. This Report covers "A Business Conference Held at the Leinster Hall, Dublin, Tuesday, 9th October, 1877." Rare. In addition to the resolutions adopted, named are some 40 "Officers for the Year" - over half of them clerics, 29 members of the Executive Committee, and three pages of subscribers. There is a chart of the results of a survey on attitudes held to the idea. The Association also wanted pubs to close early on Saturday nights. Softbound, with sewn paper wraps; 30 pages. Very Good (Plus) condition, with hardly any wear; just some light spotting to the covers. There is an embossed chop from a university library on the front cover. . First Ed. Soft Cover. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
