Good+: Shows moderate use: light wear to the extremities; a bit of rubbing to the blue cloth over boards; former owner gift inscription at the front free endpaper with a note about her grandfather, Charles M. Forrest, who served in the Twenty-Second Iowa Volunteer Infantry in 1864 and 1865, and mustered out in Savannah, GA.; a couple of words are underlined in ink in the preface and a short margin note at same; we are told there are other marks in the text but we have not been able to find them, so they must be quite sparse; the front hinge is cracked but remains firm and srong; the binding remains square and secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing mild wear and several imperfections. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo.
