About This Item

Chicago: R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company, 1913. Hardcover. 16mo. Green cloth with gilt rules, spine lettering and front board device. ix, 137pp. Top edge gilt. Frontispiece with captioned tissue guard. Very good. Faintest edgewear, with upper corner bumped but all gilt bright and sharp -- tight and internally fine. Quite nice copy of this early "Lakeside Classic," the annual keepsake given by this printer and publisher to friends and clients starting in 1903. This volume features contributions from William Bross, Charles Cleaver and famed actor Joseph Jefferson. Early Lakeside from their "green period" -- the first 24 years -- have become rather scarce in recent years.
