The tape is guaranteed to play without any problems. This is a documentary based on 'Road to Rembetika' by Gail Holst-Warhaft. This documentary film is narrated by Anthony Quinn, chosen in part for his work as Zorba in the film 'Zorba the Greek'. This documentary describes the cultural history of Rembetika music, from its origins in hashish dens. Rembetika gained significant visibility in its use in soundtracks for the Theodorakis works made into th efilms 'Never on Sunday', 'Z' and 'Zorba the Greek'. This documentary is notable for its description of the emergence of Rembetika out of the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922) and social upheaval created by the mutual ethnic clensing that took place in Turkey and Greece as a result of this war. 50 minutes.Satisfaction Guaranteed.
