Red leather labels with gilt lettering and double lines. Complete with 32 acquatint & b/w plates and including a color double-page map. [2, vii, iv, iii, 340pp]. [2, iii, 1, 310pp, 2, 30, xx]. Text block is tight & intact except endpapers at rear of volume 2 are loosening. Text has an occasion spot or age toned page. Hinges are intact with some internal paper tears. Edges and corners rubbed. Covers scuffed. Bookplate removed from front endpaper. Title pages have inked out signatures. Two small ink stamps in volume 2: "93RD HIGHLAND REGIMENT". England, Forestry ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 650 pages .
