About This Item
1998. WEGNER, Peter. Remarks; Color; Remarks on Color. 3 volumes. Illustrated with waterless lithography showing paint color samples as they would be displayed in hardware stores across the USA; interspersed with blind-stamped leaves. 4to, 285 x 225 mm., uniformly bound in original publisher's grey cloth; in matching slipcase. Santa Fe: 21 Steps, 1998. An immaculate copy of this artist's book which explores a system of standard paint colours used by hundreds of paint and hardware stores across the USA. It was inspired by Wittgenstein's posthumously published treatise of the same name, the books are Wegner's attempt to "explore the philosophical armature of his own project." Number 44 of 100 copies signed by Wegner.
