A magical tale with details of Chinese culture that follows a young prince in his journey to search for the legendary court of T'ien-kuo. Ex-library with dust jacket taped to cover, which appears to be black and red with metallic blue titles on spine. Cover appears to be in good shape, although heavily taped, library stamps and a library pocket on front end papers, interior pages bright and clean, library stamps on back free end paper. Illustrated jacket with black and blue titles on front cover and spine is mylar covered and a little faded at spine, library sticker on mylar at spine, light bumping at corners and spine ends of jacket, not price clipped.

Measures 6 x 8 1/2 inches.

Synopsis

When Prince Jen volunteers to search for the legendary court of T?ien-kuo, a mysterious old man chooses six gifts for him to bear in homage: a saddle, a sword, a paint box, a bowl, a kite, and a flute. Puzzled by the gifts but full of high spirits and pride, Jen sets off?but stumbles almost immediately into a series of misfortunes. Only with the help of his faithful servant, Mafoo, and valiant flute-girl, Voyaging Moon, and only after a breathtakingly exciting string of adventures can Jen discover the real meaning of the gifts and face his true destiny. . . .
