New York : Philosophical Library , 1956. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. 224 pages, indexed. INSCRIBED by the author on the front flyleaf. Hardcover bound in dark grey cloth. The binding is rubbed and worn but sound. Spine is faded. Outer edges of the text block show some spots/stains. Prior owner's bookplate on the front pastedown (George Breathett, who was a professor at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina in the 1950s-1960s). The text is somewhat toned but clean and sound. Author's inscription reads, "To Clementine and Julian with Love, Ruby.
