Hardcover bound in dark grey cloth. The binding is rubbed and worn but sound. Spine is faded. Outer edges of the text block show some spots/stains. Prior owner's bookplate on the front pastedown (George Breathett, who was a professor at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina in the 1950s-1960s). The text is somewhat toned but clean and sound. Author's inscription reads, "To Clementine and Julian with Love, Ruby.
