Published by George Routledge & Sons, Ltd, London, 1910, 1st edition. Blue cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine and front board. Elaborate gilt decoration depicting buildings to front and spine. Teg. 11.25ins x 8.75ins, viii, 264pp plus 64pp colour plates. The plates were illustrated by the author and are captioned on the tissue guards (excepting the frontis which has the wrong caption and plate 47 (opp p196) which lacks a tissue guard). Light foxing to the text. Top and bottom of spine and corners rubbed. G+ nr VG.
