About This Item
Privately Printed, 1913. Fourth Edition. . Hardback. Very Good. Fourth edition. Hardback, bound in brown cloth with printed titling to upper board. 19 × 12.5cm, 187pp. An early edition of the register of Aldenham School in Hertfordshire. The book contains a history of the school, followed by lists of masters and pupils, school societies and sports, Aldenhamians abroad etc. The details are very scant from the school's earliest days but pick up from the early Victorian era. Among those listed as past pupils are the sculptor Alfred Gilbert, and William Sumner Hammersley, the co-founder of Australian Rules Football. An interesting record. Condition: This copy is in very good condition for age.
