Numerous black and white photographic plates in text. A neat study of the architecture of the West of England, featuring cities and buildings through Stonehouse, Dartmoor and the Isles of Scilly. Written by Albert Edward Richardson, an English architectural historian and architect, and Charles Lovett Gill, also an English architect. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the first and last pages only. Contemporary ink annotations throughout. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
