Synopsis: Happy birthday, Immanuel!
The essays in this volume were originally presented at a symposium celebrating the 250th anniversary of Kant's birth.
Florida State University sponsored the symposium, and W.H. Werkmeister, whose Kant studies have distinguished his work at the University of Nebraska, the University of Southern California, and now at Florida State University, organized and directed it.
Because the symposium in 1974 prescribed no subjects or themes, each essayist was free to select any topic of Kant's philosophy for exploration. This volume, therefore, offers essays on a wide range of topics, representative of current and continuing issues in Kant scholarship.
