Fantasy Probable Book Club. 3rd volume in authorized edition of Conan stories, ed. by Karl Edward Wagner. This is part of the series in which the publisher was to issue the entire series of Conan stores, as they were published in Weird Tales. Karl Edward Wagner was the editor. Three books were produced before the concept was cancelled as the rights to the stories were picked up by Ace. They had been in the hands of Lancer who issued them in the sixties, but then went bankrupt.
Synopsis
"Red Nails" is one of the original short stories about Conan the Cimmerian, written by American author Robert E. Howard and first published in Weird Tales magazine circa July – October 1936. It is set in the pseudo-historical Hyborian Age and concerns Conan encountering a lost city in which the degenerate inhabitants are proactively resigned to their own destruction.
