Maestricht & Bruxelles: A.A.M. Stols, 1930. First edition. Stiff Wraps. Orig. stiff wrappers lettered in black and red in fine slipcase. Fine. 94 pages. 25 x 19 cm. Limited edition, one of 200, this copy not numbered, printed in Garamond on Hollande paper. Six original eaux-fortes (etchings) by Alexeieff. The latter a Russian Empire-born artist, and illustrator who lived and worked mainly in Paris. Laid-in a facial portrait of Alexeieff. The author, Alexander Pushkin is considered the greatest Russian poet. He was born into the Russian nobility -- dead at age 37 in a duel. As new copy in original glassine.
