About This Item

Garden City, New York: Doubleday Anchor, 1969. Soft cover. Near Fine. This classic work in psychology & anthropology documents a psychotherapeutic interaction conducted by the author with an American "Wolf" Plains Indian, demonstrating the intersection of culture, personality, & mental status. Orig. published in hardcover in 1951, this is the First Trade Paperback Edition with revisions from 1969, in 615 pages with Indexes & Bibliography, Preface by anthropologist Margaret Mead. Condition is Near Fine: just removed from storage where it has been since received brand new for review, it is internally flawless: completely clean & unmarked, binding strong & straight, pages creamy white with a hint of tanning. Only flaws are external, including a smudge to top outside page edges, dust dulling & a few dogeared outer corners to pages in Index only, moderate darkening/yellowing to covers & spine. Our photos depict the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, Weekends, & holidays ship very next business day.
