Stains to pages 140 and 141 with a notation "Messed up by roses from Boon's Hill August 1924." Inscribed on the front end paper "T.E. Rankin from L.P. Jacks, Aug. 30, 1924." Rankin was head of the English department at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.. Inscribed By the Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
