London: Jones & Co. 3, Warwick Square, 1822. First edition, third issue. Full Leather. Very Good. Two volume set. 21.5 x 13.5 cm. Octavo. 656pp, 668pp. Bound in full red leather, rebacked, preserving much of the original spines. 5 raised bands to spine. Marble endpapers and foredges. Illustrated with 34 hand colored aquatint plates; only 32 are mentioned on the "binder direction" pages. "Catching a Charley Napping" and "St. Georges Day. Presentation at the Levee" being the additional plates present in volume 2 and "sometimes" included in printings of this work. Imitation of Pierce Egan's "Life in London". Bit of scuffing to edges of leather.
