About This Item

London: William Heinemann Ltd, 1944. Very Good/Very Good. London: William Heinemann Ltd, 1944. First UK Edition, preceded by the U.S. publication. Octavo. 284 pp. Illustrated dust jacket. Persian blue linen-grain cloth boards stamped in gilt; hay endpapers. Dust jacket chipped and creased with general toning and rubbing. Boards show mild edgewear and spine a trifle sunned. Slight lean to boards but binding is sound and pages unmarked. A Very Good copy for a title difficult to find in collectible condition due to inexpensive wartime manufacture.
