New York: R. Worthington, 1881. I have only been able to locate three other copies of this book in this country, one in the University of Louisville Library, one in the Florida State Library, and one in my own library that I am offering in a separate listing. However, there might be some copies in private hands. "Sunday Chatterbox" is an oversized children's book, measuring 7 5/8 by 10 inches. The book is unpaginated. It is in Good+ condition. The stories, poems, and songs for children are both secular and religious (bible stories). So why is this collectable? Not only due to its rarity, but because of the 90 gorgeous pen-and-ink drawings found throughout. (I suspect that other copies no longer exist because they've been cut up and their illustrations sold as individual prints.) Boston: Lothrop, Lee & Shepard Co., 1920. Second volume of the Adele Doring books. No statement of edition or printing. States "Published, August, 1920" on the copyright page but the list of other Adele Doring titles includes all five in the series, as well as "Dixie Martin". Red boards with black and blue pictorial front and black titles to the front and spine. 278 numbered pages plus four color illustrations. The spine is slightly slanted. The endpapers are lightly foxed. There is some top edge soiling to the first few leaves. Otherwise a fine copy in a tight binding. The dust jacket has some very light edgewear, including two 1/2" closed tears. The colors are bright, including on the spine. In Brodart dust jacket protector. This title is seldom seen in such handsome condition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Illus. by Florence Liley Young. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

New York: Henry F. Walck, 1950. This copy appears to be number D11 in the Hare bibliography. The only exception to the points listed is the size, which, however, is within 1/8" of the size given in Hare. Red cloth boards with black titles on the spine and no paste-on label. Hinges reinforced with white buckram. Heavy, white paper stock. Opened locket illustration on the title page; the author's name and publisher's name are printed in black; "New York" and "1950" are in red. Very light shelfwear. Previous owner's name is on the front free endpaper. Faint smudge on the rear free endpaper. Otherwise a fine, unmarked copy. The dust jacket is puckered from prior dampness and has light soiling. There is light wear at the spine ends and the corners. The price at the top of the front flap is intact ($2.75) while the bottom corner is clipped. The contents are tight and clean but for a previous owner name on the inside of the front cover. The board have a little soiling and light edge wear to the corners and spine ends.
