London: Jarrolds, 1958. First edition. Hardback. VG. No Dustwrapper. Signed by author to Marilyn Rosenberg on title page. 223 pages. No annotations or inscriptions. Book is dedicated to Henry Williamson. Book has brown cloth boards with very little wear and very clean. This is a novel about the discovery of black-winged stilts (an extremely rare and migratory wanderer to Britain) nesting in Wiltshire and of the ensuing disturbance to the area by the media and twitchers. The author was a well-known journalist and environmentalist. .
