The text is illustrated with black-and-white drawings by Michael Leunig, who also drew the coloured illustration for the front cover, taking the inspiration for the drawing from Tom Roberts "Shearing of the Rams" – which can be seen on the rear book panel along with Michael Leunig. Black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Very early Michael Leunig. Creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels. Age toning and foxing of the text block edges. Browning and foxing around the edges of the half title page. Size: Oblong 8vo - 7¾" - 9¾" tall but wider. Not paginated..
