Four volume complete set. Bound in full calf. This set features a series of short papers written by the popular English author Samuel Johnson. The papers, published as a periodical called 'The Rambler', were published every Tuesday and Saturday between 1750 and 1752 and included discussions on morality, literature, society, politics and religion. Bound in full calf. Externally smart with fading to the spines, rubbing to the extremities and joints with bumping to the extremities of the boards, marks to the boards and front joint starting to volumes 4, 1 and 2 with both joints starting to volume 3. Offsetting to the extremities of the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned and generally clean pages with the odd spot only. Very Good
