Rivington, 1820. 2 volumes, 24mo, pp. 527; 547; copper-engraved frontispieces and vignette title pages; smooth green calf with gilt tooling to the edges of the boards, gilt-decorated spine in five compartments with red morocco labels in two, marbled edges and endpapers; spines show moderate age toning and wear, light spotting to textblock; armorial bookplate of a "Gadsden" in each volume with the ownership card of Gwin J. Kolb, a former humanities professor of the University of Chicago and eminent Johnsonian, laid in. Referred to as the "miniature edition" by Fleeman. Courtney & Smith 34, Fleeman 50.3R/55.
